Privacy policy
Divisible privacy
Divisible collects no data. There’s no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Ramify Studios, which makes Divisible, never receives your tasks, names, choices, or calendars.
This page explains what the app keeps on your device, what it puts in Apple Calendar, and what Apple handles for the purchase.
Your week stays on your device
Your tasks, both names, your choices, approvals, and settings are saved on your iPhone or iPad, in Divisible’s own storage with iOS file protection. iCloud or computer backups of your device can include them, according to your backup settings. Deleting the app deletes them from the device.
Apple Calendar
On one device, Divisible asks only for write-only calendar access, and only when you choose a calendar or add tasks to it. Write-only access lets it add events without seeing your appointments.
Full calendar access is requested only when you turn on separate phones or busy times:
- Separate phones. Each phone keeps one all-day event in the calendar you share. It holds that phone’s copy of the week, including task names, steps, and times, both names, answers, approvals, and which tasks are in Calendar. Anyone with access to that calendar can see it. When a phone joins, Divisible looks in the calendars it can write to only for its own shared week; other appointments aren’t kept or used.
- Busy times. Divisible reads only the calendars you pick, for the days your tasks cover. It keeps only each busy time’s start, end, and person, and shares only those with a second phone. Event titles are shown on the phone that read them, and are never saved or shared.
Events Divisible adds are ordinary events in the calendar you chose: they sync, and anyone that calendar is shared with can see them, like everything else in it. Your calendar provider, such as iCloud, handles them under its own terms. You can change Divisible’s calendar access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars.
Sharing a calendar file
If you share a calendar (.ics) file, it contains task names, owner names, dates and times, each task’s steps, alerts, and a link back to the task. It goes only where you send it from the share sheet. Divisible never sends anything automatically.
The purchase
The one-time Plan Every Week purchase is made with Apple through the App Store, using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment, and Divisible learns only whether every week is unlocked. Apple’s privacy policy covers the purchase.
The free week
To remember that a phone’s free week has been used, Divisible keeps that week’s ID, a random identifier, in the keychain. Keychain items stay when an app is deleted, and iCloud Keychain, when it’s on, syncs this one to your other devices. It contains nothing about you or your tasks.
The Today widget
The widget shows today’s tasks from a snapshot that the app saves on the device, in a space that only Divisible and its widget share.
Crash reports from Apple
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may share crash reports and anonymous usage statistics with us. Apple controls that setting, under Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
If you write to support, we receive what you send, and use it only to help you.
